ABSTRACT

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a novel coronavirus referring to as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 that causes a viral infection (SARS-CoV-2). The current research focused on the relationship between TNF-alpha, hematological and biochemical markers in SARS-CoV-2 patients. SARS-CoV-2 patients were studied in this reflection investigation. Demographic features, laboratory markers were collected. This patients were classified in to SARS-CoV-2 with severe, moderate and mild patients based on Spo2 percentage. 84 patients severe, moderate and mid SARS-CoV-2 patients were involved. Compared severe, moderate and mild SARS-CoV-2 patients had significantly higher serum tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF)-α. Correlation examination indicated that TNF-a was negative correlation with lymphocyte percentage with mild groups (R= -0.44*, p = 0.03), hemoglobin within the moderate groups (R=-0.415*, p=0.031) and D. dimer levels in severe groups (R=-0.406*,p = 0.039). In conclusion, increased of TNF-α was significantly correlation with severity disease of SARS-CoV-2 patients.
